Nach einer Rettungsaktion nahe der Sonne stellt sich heraus, dass Supermann einem Plan seines Erzfeindes Lex Luthor aufgesessen ist und nun aufgrund von Verstrahlung nur noch etwa ein Jahr zu leben hat.
